Royal Rajasthan (2008)

Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals won the first Indian Premier League. The Rajasthan Royals were a completely balanced squad in the first edition, with senior batsmen like Shane Watson and Graeme Smith, an explosive batter in the middle order like Yusuf Pathan, and a difficult spinner like Sohail Tanvir. Deccan Chargers (2009)

The Chargers, led by Adam Gilchrist, won the second season of the Indian Premier League. The team’s main hitters included Herschelle Gibbs, Andrew Symonds, and the youthful Rohit Sharma. Pragyan Ojha’s left-arm spin bowling contributed to the team’s victory, as he grabbed 18 wickets during the competition. Chennai Super Kings (2010)

Hussey and Murali Vijay’s 159-run opening partnership against Royal Challengers Bangalore was a major cause for CSK defending the title.

Kolkata Knight Riders (2012)

This was the fifth season of the Indian Premier League, which was held in India amongst eight clubs. This season’s IPL final featured the Chennai Super Kings against the Kolkata Knight Riders (Winner). Chris Gayle was awarded an orange cap for being the top run-scorer, while Morne Morkel was awarded a purple cap for taking the most wickets. Sunil Narine was named the game’s MVP.
