Royal Rajasthan (2008)
Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals won the first Indian Premier League. The Rajasthan Royals were a completely balanced squad in the first edition, with senior batsmen like Shane Watson and Graeme Smith, an explosive batter in the middle order like Yusuf Pathan, and a difficult spinner like Sohail Tanvir. Yusuf Pathan, on the other hand, played the match of his life in the final against the Chennai Super Kings, contributing both bowling and batting. Yusuf took three important wickets at less than a run-rate of a bowl before smashing a quickfire 56 off 39 balls.
Deccan Chargers (2009)
The Chargers, led by Adam Gilchrist, won the second season of the Indian Premier League. The team’s main hitters included Herschelle Gibbs, Andrew Symonds, and the youthful Rohit Sharma. Pragyan Ojha’s left-arm spin bowling contributed to the team’s victory, as he grabbed 18 wickets during the competition. Adam Gilchrist scored 495 runs in 16 matches, following only Mathew Hayden on the season run-scorers list.
Chennai Super Kings (2010)
The third season of the IPL was underway. It happened in India. This season’s IPL final was played in Mumbai between Chennai Super Kings (winner) and Mumbai Indians. MS Dhoni finally received the trophy after missing out on it in the first edition. The army was a strong challenger for the crown from the start, with players like Suresh Raina, Mathew Hayden, Albie Morkel, Muralitharan, and Dhoni. Sachin Tendulkar (612) was awarded the orange cap for highest run-scorer, while Pragyan Ojha was awarded the purple cap for highest wicket-taker. This season also drew 200 million viewers.
Chennai Super Kings (2011)
Chennai Super Kings became the first IPL team to win consecutive finals. For the title, the reigning champions faced the tournament’s batting titans, RCB. CSK’s batting unit was energised by the presence of Mister Cricket, Michael Hussey, who played several vital innings during the competition. Hussey and Murali Vijay’s 159-run opening partnership against Royal Challengers Bangalore was a major cause for CSK defending the title.
Kolkata Knight Riders (2012)
This was the fifth season of the Indian Premier League, which was held in India amongst eight clubs. This season’s IPL final featured the Chennai Super Kings against the Kolkata Knight Riders (Winner). Chris Gayle was awarded an orange cap for being the top run-scorer, while Morne Morkel was awarded a purple cap for taking the most wickets. Sunil Narine was named the game’s MVP.
Mumbai Indians (2013)
The Mumbai Indians’ hitman, Rohit Sharma, led the franchise to their first IPL Winners List. MI did it by defeating the Chennai Super Kings in the 2013 IPL final. The team was very balanced throughout the competition. Kieran Pollard, Lasith Malinga, and Mitchell Johnson were all starters for the team. Kolkata Knight Riders (2014)
The seventh season of IPL 7 was held in India. The IPL 2014 season concluded with a match between Kolkata Knight Riders (Winner) and Kings XI Punjab. Robin Uthappa won an orange cap as the best run-scorer, and Mohit Sharma received a purple cap as the highest wicket-taker. Gellen Maxwell led the series’ eight teams in scoring. The Kolkata Knight Riders are only the second team in IPL history to have won the title twice.
Mumbai Indians (2015)
Mumbai Indians were the third team to win the title more than once, joining CSK and KKR. The Mumbai Indians’ outstanding balance once again helped them win the championship. For the ninth time, India hosted the IPL 9 season. Sunrisers Hyderabad (Winner) faced off against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2016 final. This season, both the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals have been forbidden from competing. Virat Kohli was awarded an orange cap for being the greatest run-scorer, while Bhuvaneshvar Kumar was awarded a purple cap for taking the most wickets. The match’s MVP was Virat Kohli (RCB).
Mumbai Indians (2017)
Mumbai Indians became the first IPL team to win the championship more than once. Their first triumph came in 2013, followed by a second in 2015. The Mumbai Indians won the final by a single run over the Rising Pune Supergiants. The skipper of the Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma, was excellent. On the night of the finals, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals to win the IPL 2020 title. MI won the title for the fifth time. The Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, dominated the season. Mumbai and Delhi met four times in the IPL 2020, with MI winning each time. Ishan Kishan scored the most runs for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020. He proved to be really dependable. Chennai Super Kings (2021)
Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL 2021. On October 15, 2021, the IPL 2021 Final was played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), with CSK winning by 27 runs. In the final match, contested in Dubai, CSK (192/3) defeated KKR (165/9) by 27 runs. Harshal Patel of Royal Challengers Bangalore took the purple hat in this IPl with 32 wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad is the youngest winner of the IPL orange cup.
Gujarat Titans (2022)
Gujarat Titans (GT) won the Tata IPL 2022 title on May 29, 2022, by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR), and we have prepared IPL winners List from 2008 to 2022. MS Dhoni’s team Chennai Super Kings Have won Tata IPL 2023 title on May 30, 2023, by defeating the defending champions Gujrat Titans By 5 wickets. Finaal was played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between CSK and GT. Mohammad Shami of Gujrat Titans won purple cap in IPL 2023, and Shubman Gill also from GT won Orange cap of IPL 2023.
