The Asian Cup is the world’s only tournament based on competitions between countries from the same continent. India has the best record in Asia Cup history. India has won seven Asia Cups so far.  Aside from that, India has appeared in 10 finals out of a total of 15 finals (India has competed in 14 editions, skipping one). Sri Lanka is the Asia Cup’s second most successful team, trailing only India. Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup six times, while Pakistan has won it twice. Initially a competition between three countries, Asia Cup has since grown to a six-team tournament. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and Afghanistan are among them.
